Today the fest organizers finally announced the short films in competition. Surprisingly there are only nine (9) shorts and to my positive surprise four (4) are from Latin America, making this world area the one with the stronger representation. These are the shorts.

Also I notice that this competition has the strongest presence of female filmmakers, great news for the future. Haven't read about the shorts but according to the announcement the nine shorts represent a wide range of cinematic genres in animation, documentary and fiction.
