Last night the WGA had their award ceremony and to read winners in all categories, including TV, go here. Winners are in *BLUE.I knew that Sorkin was going to get the award (screenplay is good!) and yes, he's my best bet for Oscar.

As have been reading in the news the guild disqualified scripts from movies like The King’s Speech, Biutiful, Winter’s Bone, Toy Story 3, Blue Valentine, Another Year, and others because scripts don’t follow the guild’s complicated “Minimum Basic Agreement, or the agreements of several affiliated international guilds”; also last year disqualified too films like An Education and Inglourious Basterds.
I was reading the guild’s “Rules and Procedures” but honestly can’t understand the reason why excellent scripts from Winter’s Bone (that have seen) and other that haven’t like acclaimed The King’s Speech were disqualified. It’s a shame, but nevertheless in the Original Screenplay Black Swan has to win and in the Adapted Screenplay probably will be The Social Network as Aaron Sorkin did an incredible job making a raw story into a very entertaining business film (which is the part I liked more about this film).
I believe that Oscar will have different nominees at the Original and Adapted Screenplay categories and at least three of the disqualified scripts will get a nod at Oscar.
